Pedro A Reche, Group Leader
Pedro is Chemist (1990) with a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology/Biochemistry (1995) from the University of Granada, Spain. He obtained post-doctoral training at the Department of Biochemistry of the University of Cambridge (England) (1995-1998) and the DNAX Research Institute, California, USA (1998-2001). From 2001 to 2006, he worked at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, Ma, USA, directing the Bioinformatics cores of the Molecular Immunology Foundation and the Cancer Vaccine Center, holding also the appointment of Instructor of Harvard Medical School. Late 2006, he joined the University Complutense to establish the Immunomedicine Group.

Pedro is a multidisplinary scientist with relevant contributions on the fields of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics and Immunology. He has published over 80 articles in peer review journals that have received over 6200 citations (h-index = 32).

Esther M Lafuente, Associate Professor
Dr. Lafuente has a bachelor's degree in Biology (1990) and a PhD in Molecular Biology/Biochemistry (1996) both from the University of Granada, Spain. She received post-doctoral training at the Department of Biochemistry of the University of Cambridge (England) (1996-1998), the Centre for Molecular Biology (CBMSO-CSIC), Madrid (1998-2000) and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, MA, USA (2001- 2005). She has a multidisciplinary formation in molecular and cell biology. Dr Lafuente most relevant contributions are on the field of cell adhesion and migration and immunoinformatics. In addition, she is also interested on immunoconditioning by epithelial cells and complement. She has published over 40 articles in peer review journals that have received over 2200 citation (h index = 19).

Marta Gomez Perosanz, PhD Student
Marta has a bachelors's Degree in Biology (2015) and a master Degree in Biomedical Investigation (2016) both from Universidad Complutense of Madrid. She has two years of experience in the Department of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases of the Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañon of Madrid. After completing her master degree Marta joined the Immumedicine Group at the School of Medicine of the Complutense University where she is pursuing her PhD, which is based on computer-assisted design of epitope-based vaccines. Marta is supported by a Harvard-Complutense Fellowship

Jose Luis Sanchez-Trincado , PhD Student
Jose Luis has a Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology (2015), from the Pablo de Olavide University, followed by a Master'sDegree in Advanced Genetics, from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (2016). Then, he worked as research assistant in Severo Ochoa's Center for Molecular Biology to work on Huntington's disease. Jose Luis joined the Immunomedine group early in 2017 to complete his PhD in T-cell immunology. Jose Luis is supported by a Harvard-Complutense Fellowship

Alvaro Ras Carmona, PhD Student
Alvaro Ras Carmona has a bachelor's degree in Biotechnology (2018) and the Expert Degree in Biotechnology Research Methodology (2018) both from the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria (UFV). Then he obtained master Degree in Omics Data Analysis (2019) by the Universitat de Vic - Universitat Central de Catalunya. He worked in the Biological Research Centre (CIB- CSIC) in the Quimestry and Structural Biology department, and later on in the Institute of Biosanitary Research of the UFV, in the area of Advanced Therapies, in the epigenetic study of the colon-rectal cancer from a bioinformatic and biostatistic perspective. Alvaro joined the Immunomedine group in 2019 to perform his PhD in bioinformatics, always from an immunology perspective.

Tara Fiyouzi Alipour, PhD Student
Tara is a Doctor of Medicine, whoGraduated from Yerevan State Medical University-Armenia (2018). She joined the Immunomedicine group in october 2019 to complete her PhD in immunomodulation by peptides

Hector Fernando Pelaez Pretel, PhD Student
Hector holds a Bachellor´s Degree in Biochemistry by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, being awarded as the second best academic score of his promotion (2019). He joined the Immunomedicine Group in 2018, where he completed successfully his Bachelor Thesis, which received the maximum score (Matrícula de Honor). He is currently undertaking  a Master Degree in Immunology Research, also in the Universidad Complutense of Madrid. He is working on his Master Thesis, focusing on the study of the control of immunomodulation by oral epithelial cells.
