Using the ENDscript interface
Your browser should be separated in three frames once you connect to the
interface:

The Main frame
Fill up the www form by at least uploading from your disk a PDB
file in the first box of the interface, by typing a PDB identifiant
such as 2CAE in this first box or by clicking on the 'PDB' icon.
Strings of characters in blue are hyperlinks to the manual.
The Buttons frame
-
When the main form is filled (you can for example just type 2CAE
in the first box and click below on enable the BLAST search),
click on the SUBMIT button to start the program.
-
The RESULT window must automaticaly appear on your screen once the
program has been executed. If not, click on the RES button.
-
Once the four PostScripts have been generated and if you are curious, click
on the IN button to display all input files used in ENDscript.
-
Click on the OUT button to read the logfile
-
Use the ESPript button to connect to its interface. There, you will
be able to SAVE your session locally, so that you can use
later the same parameters and files.
-
Pay attention to the TIME LEFT bar. You must at least execute one
command on the server each 45 minutes.
-
Before leaving, click on the EXIT button: files are removed from
server. This is important for security.
The Results frame
A results window pops up on your screen, once the program has been executed.
The resulting PostScript/image files appear in this window
as hypertext links. Click on the links to visualize them (if your browser
is correctly configured), or click with the right button of the
mouse for retrieve. Conversion of PostScript files to Gif or Tiff images
takes some time, specially if you use the 300 dpi option. However
the resulting Tiff image in 300dpi is of good quality and ready
to be inserted and resized in a word processor.
